You know, I have a confession to make. Right here, right now.
I am obsessed with traveling. I talk about it everyday, I daydream about trips, I visit vacation planning sites at least 3 times a week and I am always thinking about how I’m gonna use my vacation days from work. I’m sure there’s quite a few of you that feel the same way – you know? we’ve been bitten by the travel bug! There’s just something utterly fascinating about discovering new places – some people find it, meh, ok. I find it completely exhilarating. Hence my Artful City Walks project (which I want to take on the road in the near future).
So, with traveling in mind – I found this very well suited series called Windows by Jim Darling. His work illustrates the most exciting part of a trip; seeing a new destination through your airplane window, just there, saying hello! and waiting to be explored. I don’t know about you, but I get freakin goosebumps when I hear the “dear passengers please fasten your seat belts as we are approaching our destination” announcement. YES!
Hope this post takes you on a little journey of your own and inspires you to plan that next trip you’ve been dying to take – for me I think it’ll be Barcelona next year to experience – for the very first time – Gaudi’s work (fingers, legs, toes and eyes crossed!), what about you? What artsy destination would you like to visit?
Happy weekend amigos!
