Why shop the old school way, you know? At the crowded mall, filled with strollers and prepubescent Avril Lavigne look-a-likes? Nah! Shop local, shop awesome! Visit the Local-E Bazaar happening this Saturday July 7th from 11am to 4pm at the Biltmore Cabaret and support indie designers.
Nothing like spending the night at the VAG, especially when FUSE – one of most popular arty parties in Vancouver – is happening. Enjoy live performances, music, art and a few drinks, all under the same roof. Head over to the Vancouver Art Gallery this Friday July 6th from 8pm to 1am. Oh! You can save a few canadian pesos (you know, for extra drinks) if you purchase your ticket in advance!
The Ayden Gallery and Toms (yah, the crazy comfy shoes) are putting together a fantastic show – The Art of Giving – a one night event where several artists will use Toms as canvases. Do I need to say more? Shoes, art, music. Holy shiz. Partial proceeds of the sales will go towards A Loving Spoonful. The creative bonanza will happen this Friday July 6th from 7pm to 11pm at the Ayden Gallery.
Even though this one isn’t opening this weekend, you should definitely check it out! Better yet, get your friends to participate.

OR
b. Submit a short written proposal (max 250 words) for a small publication as well as samples of past work.
All artists should also include a short statement introducing who they are and their current art practice. Send all the goodies to inverse.submission[at]gmail.com by Monday July 9th. If you have any other questions, drop them a line to the same email addy.
Alrighty friends, what are you going to do this weekend? Anything arty happening in your cities?
