Armed with a SX-70 instant camera photographer William Miller goes out in the world and shoots these abstract pieces of art – or rather – these beautifully ruined polaroid photos.
When William purchased his camera at the flea market they didn’t mention that the soul of an artist was trapped inside. Ok, that’s my fancy talk for saying his camera was broken and didn’t work properly. So happy he got scammed, otherwise we wouldn’t be enjoying these lovely images.
See, you can find creativity everywhere. Even on the things you think don’t work the way they should.
I don’t know about you, but now I feel like visiting my local flea market to see if I can score an artful treasure! Thanks for the inspiration Mr. Miller
Do you have any good flea markets where you live?

There is an amazingly huge flea market near Dallas in a little town called Canton – one weekend a month. I have bought a lot of stuff there that didn’t work – but nothing broken ended up as artistic as this guy’s SX-70.

Hey Bill, that sounds like fun flea market. Keep trying, you never know when you’re going to find a broken art-maker :P .

Pure happenstance that his camera broke, it produced such beautiful, vivid colors. The first two are my favorite.

Yep, if the camera work the way it should, none of these would be here! So glad it’s broken :)

These are all great. The third one down is fantastic though.

Yes! That’s one of my favorites too, crazy how they turned out eh?
