Oh man. Can you feel it? This is going to be a good feature.
Introducing the photography of Angelica Garcia, a Venezuelan artist that is kinda blowing my mind right now. Ok and get this – her work is NOT manipulated digitally, oh no sir, it’s all hand made. Yup. First, Angelica takes a picture of the subject, she prints it, does her magic with her own very talented hands, and then takes a photo of the final product. Quite the process!
Her style is in line with lots of trending photographers that are using creamy tones on their images, mixed with pops of saturated colour, similar to what you can do on a smaller scale with the VSCO Cam. Obviously, Angelica’s work takes the cake since it’s all hand made.
As Angelica explores the concept of emptiness, she creates these dreamy images – love how they seem to look more like paintings than photos; oh so visually poetic.
You can see more of Angelica’s work over at her See.Me page.

Amazing artwork! Could you share what type of prints these are in the manipulation period? I am so fascinated with the way the image smeared.

I think she uses a layer of see-through glass or plastic and puts it over the picture of a portrait and paints over it, not entirely sure what she uses to paint with? could be white watercolour paint?
