You gotta love when an artist uses bold brush strokes to create colorful portraits. Francoise Nielly has a very peculiar style influenced by her past creative experiences and family life (her father was an architect, so I get the feeling that these structured portraits that are almost like rough, faceted sculptures, are influenced by him).
Are you a fan of this type of portraits? If so, later on the on the blog I’ll publish a couple other artists with similar aesthetics so you can get an idea of how this style is currently evolving.

I love this! I want to paint so bad, but I live in a tiny house with lots of kids, and so I wonder, what will I do with the paintings once I finish them… oh well, maybe someday!

Finger paint! haha.. I know what you mean though, maybe there’s a little community studio where you can take an hour or so every other week?

I love these kind of painting. I’m a big fan of portraits with rough and dynamic brush stokes. Lately I’ve been drawn more so towards neutral colour pallets but I am enjoying these vibrant neons as well!
