Polaroids. The glorious Polaroids. I have always been in love with them.
Last January I got a Mini Polaroid camera courtesy of Mr. Yams, the thing is just amazing. I haven’t taken that many pics as each pack costs around $30, so I am a bit stingy when it comes down to snapping away. Regardless, I love every single one of those little pictures, Polaroids make any subject come to life.
Now, on the topic of coming to life and amazing instantaneous photography – there’s going to be a place where you will be able to celebrate both; lively subjects and polaroid love – cue Mikael Kennedy – amazing photographer and author of the internationally acclaimed Polaroid travel blog: Passport To Trespass {aah, so many pretty images, makes you wanna cry…right?}.
So you got Mikael’s talent, now what? well, how about getting the also internationally acclaimed – AND proud Vancouverite – Jealous Curator to curate his show for the Catalog Gallery in Vancouver? Shazam! our wishes have been granted:
Oh.my.god. I am tingly!
Pieces Of The Moon will open on Thursday June 30th (this Thursday!) at 6:00PM. The show runs until July 17th, so there’s plenty of time for you to indulge on some visual timeless talent. If you aren’t in Vancouver, here’s the link for Greyhound so you can get your ass in here a.s.a.p. {you are very, very welcome}.
If you’re attending the show I’ll probably see you there, so come and say hello, promise?
