Lucky Jackson – a self-taught Canadian artist – gets the oscar for the quirkiest art of the month. On 2011, Lucky embarked herself on a project called “365 Lucky Days” – where she would create one piece of artwork, everyday, for a year! (Wow. Talk about motivation). The results of this fruitful project can be seen over at her Etsy shop – which is FULL of playful patterns and colors.
One of the things I like the most about Lucky, is that she mentions that art doesn’t have always to be dark and controversial – it can also be happy, whimsy, and quirky. Sometimes you may feel in the mood to debate over how conceptual a painting is, but some other times you may just want a little dose of happiness, with no debates or intense brainwork involved. Just simple happy feelings.
We’re lucky that Lucky has the luck to create such Lucky-looking artwork. BAM! I know, I’m awesome on Mondays.

Love her work! Of course, anyone who recognizes the genius of Bill Murray gets an automatic win from me. ;-)

haha definitely. I heard about her work before, but just discovered her page last week. I love her (and for me, someone that uses Jon Hamm in art is a total win!)
