I recently revisited Shaun Kardinal’s site In-Progress and I was happily surprised by all the new images he has added. If you are not acquainted with Seattle-based artist, then you should definitely check out his work. Shaun’s embroidered paper collages are everyone’s favourite; they are the perfect combo of mixed media and geometry. In a way, I consider them to be some sort of textile – with the paper as the fabric and the collage and colourful threads as the embellishments.

Seriously, bookmark his site for whenever you need an inspirational pick-me-up. While you’re at it, take a look at this large-scale piece he created for one of his shows.
