With the whole online world going crazy right now and the entire human population {even grannies have twitter and blog about how to knit without pain} connecting to FB, Twitter, My Space and whatnot, it’s no surprise that people are starting to become a little bit less touchy {in physical terms}
Luckily for us there are some people that are fighting back. Enter Marcus Thomas agency. They are sending a message with a series of posters for one of their campaigns. They are reminding us of increasing our social interaction, not our social media {let’s face it, we all are addicted to status updates, we all want to see what the nearest neighbor is up to, right?}
But just like these ads say, why don’t you download the memories to your head and not your iPod, and why don’t you try to dance like a freak with friends and not by yourself on your chair at home {don’t lie to me, I know you youtube’d the dance steps to la macarena}
It is nearly impossible to avoid the influence of social media – a fast growing, awesome monster – so you won’t be able to run away from it, but what you can do is to touch your neighbor, touch someone on the bus, touch your teacher, touch your landlady, touch the cashier at the store, give a gentle stroke to that bum on the street, hell, touch yourself! People will love it and you will feel re-connected to this cuddly planet we all call, Earth.
Let the touching begin!
No, but really. Just go out for a coffee and call a few friends and re-charge your human battery with the most ancient form of satisfaction; human interaction.
