This cute little hidden gem is one of Vancouver’s best kept coffee and fancy toast secrets.
A few weeks ago while hanging around with my studio bud Sophie, she mentioned Federal Store and it had been a while since I went there, how could I forget about it!? It’s so cute! That’s when I decided we should give it a proper feature here on the blog.
Their owners – Collette Griffiths and Chris Allen – are just as nice and sweet as the pastries they serve. Also, can we talk about how on point their style is and they look like they’re starring in a french art film of sorts? Yah.
One of the things I like the most about this place is the simple yet tasty treats you can get: turmeric toast (SO GOOD), avo toast (also amazeballs), and a beet latte by local brand Blume.
The decor in the shop is retro with touches of west coast flare, I especially love the little coffee corner which is full of luscious plants.
There’s also lots of local products (including vegan ice cream) that make it a great stop to pick up a few goodies for your foodie self.
Oh! And try to pop by early-ish when they’re baking stuff, the smell of baked goods in the shop is hypnotizing! They should come up with a baked cookie home scent, right?
Thanks to Federal Store for letting us shoot their space for this feature.
