Introducing – Evita.
Melancholy, analog love, subtle soft tones. That’s what Evita is all about. She plunges into the imaginary world of sublime landscapes and fairy tales, where ‘natural light is the queen of the collection’.
I asked Evita to send me her favorite picture along with some words that expressed her feelings for that image. I also asked her to send any complementary music or videos that shake a little something in her soul. This is what she has to share with you:
Un dia más me quedaré sentada aqui
en la penumbra de un jardin tan extraño
cae la tarde y me olvide otra vez de tomar una determinación…
Tropiezos incontrolados,
futuros inesperados.
Translation: ‘One day I’ll be sitting over here, in the shadows of a strange garden, the evening will fall again and I’ll forget to make a resolution. Uncontrolled tripping, an unexpected future…’
Sorry if I butchered the translation a bit. Sometimes words shouldn’t be translated as their meaning could change, but, since not everyone speaks Spanish {shame on you!} I had to do it.
What I love about Evita is that her words and energy match her photography. She walks the walk. I am so happy that she sent me an email to get in touch so I could feature her! {love waking up to new email, I really do} This is one of the things that I like the most about the whole blogging thing – meeting creative people that want to share their inspirational grain of salt with the world.
I believe all of us are born creative – we all have that sort of energy pumping from our hearts – whether you listen to it and nourish it or not is up to you. I didn’t hear mine for a long time and I really missed it. I am determined to bring it back – hence this blog. What about you? are you listening to it right now? If not, are you bringing it back?
Thank you Evita for your words and for sharing a bit of your dreamland.
Check out Evita’s Blog, Flickr, Site – go give her some love! I leave you with a few of my favorite pics from her collection. Let your eyes feast on beautiful imagery from Granada:
