The Flock Series – Adam Neate
There is a reason why I chose this picture – it kinda symbolizes my current situation {I do have a human face don’t worry} where my “inner face” is … well, it’s just shapeless at the moment.
So. Say hello to your new best buddy {not the guy in the pic} . Say hello to “Creative Drainage” a new section of the Gbox where tips and tricks will be shared to get your creative juices flowing.
If you suffer from the following conditions:
- Staring at the computer for more than 2 hours
- Staring at coworkers while thinking “Really, what am I doing in here”
- You find any excuse available to go home early and spend some time on your projects
- You read about some artist, celebrity or any other human being and think “I should do something like that”
- You wish that your computer came to life and told you ” DO SOMETHING!”
- You can’t wait to have your own thing going on and be creative
Then this section is for you. You can have as little or as much of it, you can become addicted if you want to – the only draw back? – a constant flow of ideas and advice to get it done. I think it’s super important to connect with other peeps struggling with the day to day job and figuring out “how to do it” . I am thrilled to share insightful and easy to digest information that I find along the way.
Enough bla-bla. Let’s get’er done.
Wreck This Journal
Artsy looking huh? Keri Smith is the author of this reckless book of mental exercises and creativeness. This book will make you step out of your comfort zone and start experimenting with different techniques that will help you discover a new approach to your ideas.
Wreck This Journal can be used by almost everyone, except ghosts. It’s a super easy way to get a little project of your own and stick to it. You can translate this into other personal and business projects by brainstorming and taking risks. You don’t have to do something HUGE to be creative or to have your own biz, you can start with baby steps {which is actually better and WAY less overwhelming} think of it as a massive cookie that you want to it – you are not going to stuff it all in your face in just one bite – which I do….most of the times, actually all the time – you want to have a little bite a time and savor it.
By the end of Wreck This Journal you will have poked the pages with pencils, painted with coffee, glue some buttons, spat on it, used dirt and framed roadkill {joke!}
I highly recommend this little project to dust off your brain and spend some time with yourself. No pressure, just you and your imagination.
