So after feasting on some decadent chocolate brownies (read post below), I think is time to take a bit of a break on the couch (pants undone) and enjoy the beautiful work of Rocio Montoya which is so in tune with the season; florals, pastels, bright airy backgrounds – it almost makes me want to go to the beach and tan, but I won’t ’cause it still is nipple-stiffin’ chilli out there.

Aaarg! These are SO DREAMY. Even though we all have seen our fair share of collages, some of them rise to the top like these ones which are so minimal and beautiful. And friends, take it from a stylist, creating a “minimal and beautiful” look is the hardest thing ever.
Bravo Rocio! You have gotten us (me) utterly excited about the sunny floral season that’s about to bloom.

These are breathtaking. I especially love the ones after the jump; where it seems as if the women are almost being softly overtaken by florals. If that makes sense. Anyway, yeah, I’m sort of in love with these. Thanks for the inspiration!

Hello, I just found your blog from pinterest! I was wondering about this recipe: http://www.theartfuldesperado.com/a-note-and-a-rustic-hazelnut-blackberry-cake-with-mascarpone-cream/
my question is, can I use hazelnut flour instead of the 3/4 cup of hazelnuts? If so, is it still 3/4 cup of the hazelnut flour? Also, can I substitute regular white flour for the spelt flour? Thanks so much! Cake looks amazing!

Hi Ashlynn. Oops! I’m going to re-edit my comment ’cause I read your wrong. Ok, so yes, you can use hazelnut flour instead of the hazelnuts but you’d have to adjust it, I’m going to say use 1/2 cup instead of 3/4. As for the flour, you can use regular all-purpose, but use 1 1/4 cup (amount has to be reduced) as regular flour has more gluten. Mind you, I haven’t tested any of these variations so using the original recipe is always your best bet :). Thanks!
