A lovely way to end the week with some art by Liza Lacroix. Very Cirque Du Soleil meets Black Swan meets abstract painting, right? The colorful smudges and ruffled fabric details make us feel like we are in some extravagant – and somewhat obscure – Venetian masquerade ball. Thanks for submitting your work, Liza. Happy weekend folks!

Greg Hart
Maybe it’s just the fact that the US has gotten lots of hot controversial news going on – but I think Greg Hart’s paintings look like the modern version of posters promoting political leaders – in a more artsy way of course. Could you imagine if politicians all of the sudden started to run their campaigns and […]
Michael Chase
Feeling a bit psychedelic already? It’s wednesday so I think the answer would be – yes! Michael Chase’s portfolio is a total trip. I love how his work is so texturized. It attracts your eyes with its many pore-like bubbles, scratches and crevices. With such vibrant colors and blurry edges – I feel Michael’s work would look […]
Britt Bass
Watch out! Britt Bass has created some serious colorful weapons – all loaded with geometry and powerful hues. This is just what I needed today after feeling a little burnt out from working a bit too much this summer. Just one stop on Britt’s site and I was fully recharged for the week ahead. Lucky for […]
Trey Speegle
While browsing through Little Collector – an online gallery created for kids (!!!) – I found the work of Trey Speegle. I’ve seen some of his pieces before but I never knew he had such a robust collection that combines typography, patterns and vintage-y colors. For obvious reasons my eyes went like “whoa there horsey, stop and […]
Jack Hardwicke
Un-fuckin-real. Isn’t it? I can’t stop browsing Jack Hardwicke’s site, his work is just too good! It’s like psychedelic candy made into art. And the colors! My god. I could go on and on, but I’d rather let you discover it for yourself – also – my wrists are KILLING ME from scrubbing floors and whatnot for more than […]
paintings by scott waters
This series titled Domestic Violence by Scott Waters would look perfect on a feature wall in a funky apartment of sorts. I can picture the apartment being very white and serene but BAM! in comes the art of Scott to switch the mood. I find the combination of elements in this series quite quirky; sweet granny-like […]
