Bestie, the finest currywurst in Chinatown Vancouver is one of those marvelous city gems that makes you say “where have you been my whole life!” I mean seriously, it’s a sausage fest in there, literally. Best of all, us veg-heads can also get a fine piece of german “meat” smothered in curry ketchup. Glorious!
Aside from all the meat, fries, pretzels, and beer (are you drooling already?) the place is a feast for your eyes! Bestie’s modern design is a refreshing addition to this up-and-coming hood that’s bursting at the seams with culture and radness. It’s so great to see all these stylish local businesses booming and serving delicious food in a modern environment that is hockey and TV-free! YAY (sorry, I find TVs in restaurants to be quite a pest).
So anyways, if you’re around Vancouver and you want to stuff your face with some mouthwatering german classics, then you should definitely pop by Bestie.
PS. You MUST try their ice cream sandwich too! Perfect ending to an evening with your besties.

We’ve left restaurants because they had TVs playing. And here it’s always something crazy like Cort tv. Or sports. Always with the sports.
Looks like a super fab place! Hope to check it out one day!

Right!? Dude Tvs are so not cool, in here they are always blasting Hockey – which is fine for a sports bar! And yes, you should definitely check it out when u come visit :)

Ooo…I want to go to there. I love the design so, so much. I’ve heard of currywurst and would love to give it a try. There’s a restaurant near me that was started by an ex-hockey player and the amount of TVs in there blew my mind. It was next to impossible to concentrate on anything.

haha I know! You can’t even concentrate on eating with all the noise, let alone talk to someone or enjoy the design ;) and yes Nicole, you should definitely go and try currywurst, it’s so good!
