Old beauty that is. While browsing through Design for Mankind I found this crazy good blog about old, crazy old illustrations – Cue BibliOdyssey – We are talking about the type of illustrations that you had in your chemistry and biology books as a kid, remember those good’ol days when you had to photocopy the pages and try to draw genes, cells, god’s wrath, etc?
Nowadays I’m sure kids in school just swipe their iPhone in class in front of the teachers laptop and the thing gives them their marks based on their tweets and facebook likes – “Helena, we need to talk to your parents, you failed hashtagging 2 times”
After having a lonnnngg conversation with the most amazing person on planet earth {A.K.A. Mr Mark [I know I didn’t have to mention it, but really, he is awesome, ok done]} I went back to BibliOdyssey and browse through TONS of images. I sure will be brainstorming to find different uses for these pages {Christmas present in a frame? Wrap your gifts in them? display them proudly at home? endless possibilities my friend}
Actually the images I’m posting were not in the books we used to study, unless our uncle was called Galileo and our family died of scurvy. Nevertheless they are pieces of art.
Let your eyes soak in ancient wisdom and beauty:
I couldn’t resist to add this song with this post, for some reason the images made me think of it.
