Have you heard of #Bloghug? No? Ok, here’s the scoop: #Bloghug is a little hashtag party started by Holly Becker of Decor8. It’s all about sharing your favorite blogs and spreading some love over the internet.
Needless to say, I am joining the party! So here’s my version of #Bloghug, which includes lots of new favorite blogs. These peeps are packed with serious blogging skills (fashion, art, design, waaah! the list goes on and on). Kick back, get some tea, and prepare your browser to get banged with some intense radness. Enjoy!
I met Tina (one of the gals behind the blog) at one of the Instameet Vancouver events (yeah, all of us nerds instagraming as a group – it’s magical!) and I recently found out that she’s also a blogger! After reading The Albrecht’s tag line “food and real life” I was hooked, and you’ll be too after you drool over their recipes.
I stumbled upon Not Static while reading tweets from other friends (Megan from The Fresh Exchange to be exact) and again, my bah-jesus. What a gem! Jess – the creator – has done a great job at curating her content in a beautiful way. You know what the say – less is more – and Not Static is the perfect representation of that.
Las Coleccionistas is a Spanish blog filled – to the top – of visual inspiration. Besides being the blog of the design firm by the same name, Las Coleccionistas is home to all the images taken by Maria and Nuria – the creators of it all. These gals are up to something big!
The Fruitpunch is a “lifestyle blog for gays and their friends”. Yeaaah! I love how Santiago used the word “fruit” to reflect something more positive (other than the dumb 5th-grader insult). Fashion, food, interiors, and all those things that make us happy can be found in this nifty cyber gem.
Last, but not least: Bryce Evans. This is not a “blog” per se – it’s more of a creative project by a friend of mine. I met Bryce a few months ago and at his 20 years of age (such a duckling!) he has accomplished some pretty big things. Something I really admire, is his motivation to get up and get shit done. That recently paid off and got him a feature in the so-coveted-tag “artists of tumblr”. Crazy! You should definitely keep an eye on him as he takes over the world with his ONE Project (a project about loneliness).
Ah! I could go on and on for days talking about favorite blogs – I really admire all of these people putting some much effort and talent into their cyber home. Got any favorites of your own? Share them in the comments!
Now it’s your turn – go hug a blogger :)
